Songbird Prairie Bed and Breakfast Inn is one of Northwest Indiana’s most romantic and restful spa getaways. The Inn offers what everyone loves about a good B and B — comfortable accommodations, a warm atmosphere, and artfully presented wholesome and delicious food — but here, you also get to enjoy relaxing spa treatments from wellness experts.
The Inn is nestled in the woods just 6 miles from downtown Valparaiso, and only a short drive from the sandy beaches of the Dunes National Lakeshore. Birding enthusiasts love the bird watching and walking or biking the Prairie Duneland Trail. After a day on the trails or at the shore, return to a warm guest room — each one has a fireplace for winter enjoyment — plus double-sized whirlpool tubs for soaking after a day’s hike, with Thymes bath salts, soft robes and spa slippers provided.
Breakfast is served in a peaceful sunroom overlooking the woods, with the sounds of songbirds and other birds serenading and entertaining as you dine – preparing for their ritual migration to the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Afternoon Tea is splendid, with tea sandwiches, sweets and savory treats served in the afternoons, enhanced by creamery butter, Indiana pure maple syrup and fresh whipped cream.
Spa Services include massage, skin care, reflexology, botanical body treatments (wraps and scrubs). Day Guests are welcome, and love to spend the afternoon with a reservation for spa services followed by lunch in the sunroom.

Outstanding food. We were treated like family. The couple's massage was memorable. We will definitely visit again. We would recommend this B & B to anyone and everyone!
My husband and I stayed here for our first night out since having our daughter. This place was so relaxing and welcoming. The massage therapist put me to sleep she was so good! Very clean. Definitely planning our next trip here again.
My fiancé and I needed a weekend get away and this place was amazing. Barbara is an amazing cook, and the presentation was amazing! We received massages which we the best massages that we had ever had! We had breakfast in our room the first morning, and e they brought in a table with martini glasses full of fresh fruit, fresh coffee and tea as well! We had delicious omelets too! My goodness! The weekend was prefect and Mark and I were very very thankful! Thanks Again Barbara!!
