Going Downhill

All over the country you see signs from businesses imploring people to be kind to the staff who showed up, because every business in the world was short staffed during and after the pandemic. Well how about in reverse? Just be nice to the customers and guests who showed up, also? Take care of them anyway you reasonably can?  My family has stayed here for years and this is the first ski season we were disappointed in everything: The spa amenities still closed, the pool not as clean as it used to be, the food was not good, we had to spend money for breakfast at Starbuck's (never good to begin with but to be grateful for that is saying something), the staff poorly trained, the rooms underheated, the plumbing not up to par, the grounds a little slipshod. Chaos everywhere with overbooking and people confused by tubing passes.  I witnessed so many families near tears trying to figure out what went wrong with a variety of reservation issues, everyone begging for a manager.   A FEW people were helpful, but overall, we went home feeling rather glum. I think the bloom is off the rose for now.  Let's hope future seasons returns the Peek to its former glory?

Very nice. Didn't get to go skiing at this time, but clean villas and great spa pool and sauna areas.

Resort is ok. Rooms are really out of date. Have a weird smell when you come in. Spa is amazing. Bistro breakfast is great. Pool area is fun to hang out in. No elevators to the rooms. And of course because of Covid nobody cleans the room but still charge you for that service. They should take that charge out if nobody comes and cleans but it seems a lot of the hotels are doing this -- not just peak n peak. Overall ok but I don't know if I would come back because no wow factor for me.
