Strawberry Thyme Fizz – Cocktails, Mocktails and Spa Party Drinks

Toasting your favorite holidays and special events doesn’t have to mean over-indulging, over-imbibing, or over-analyzing.  You clean eating program may mean you are abstaining from caffeine, wine and spirits entirely, or, it may mean that on special occasions, you want just a bit of the special stuff to mark the event. Strawberry and bubbles are never a bad thing. This is the perfect festive beverage for those not wanting to consume alcohol.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb strawberries - washed with stems removed, cut into large pieces
  • 1 tablespoons thyme leaves - fresh
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup lime juice - freshly-squeezed
  • 1 liter club soda

Instructions

Blended

  • Combine strawberries, thyme, honey and lime juice in a blender and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve. Add club soda. Serve.

Shaken

  • Reserve several strawberry pieces per serving. Combine the remaining strawberries, cut in half, plus the thyme, honey and lime juice in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
  • Strain through a fine mesh sieve. Divide between servings, and for each serving, top with club soda and additional reserved strawberries. Serve immediately.
