The Rustler Lodge and Spa has been welcoming guests to Alta since 1947, to its ski-in and ski-out lodge. Alta is located just 45 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, and the Rustler Lodge is perfectly located within walking distance of the town’s shops, cafes, and ski lifts. For those who want to venture a little further, including to Snowbird, there is a complimentary day shuttle.
Lodging includes traditional guest rooms, deluxe rooms, suites, and even a 6-bed dorm room for groups. Guest rooms feature wifi, flat screen televisions, gas fireplace (in select rooms), boot dryers (select rooms), bath amenities, housekeeping, a daily newspaper, coffee and tea, and there is a guest laundry on site.
In the evening, make new friends and renew old acquaintances while relaxing by the warmth of a roaring fire. Enjoy a spectacular Alta sunset from the Eagle’s Nest Lounge and then come to the the Rustler Dining Room for delicious cuisine and magnificent views. The Dining Room has been offering delicious mountain fare for more than two decades. Daily Room Rates include a full breakfast buffet and a gourmet dinner. The breakfast buffet is known for is omelets made to order. Favorite dinner entrees include Rack of Lamb, Pan Seared Utah Trout, Filet of Beef, pasta, vegetarian options, and more. Lunch is also available at an additional cost. The menus feature selections that are prepared daily with the freshest ingredients. A wine selection is available to perfectly complement your menu choices.
Alta’s Rustler Spa offers massage, reflexology, cryotherapy, skin care, manicures, pedicures, body wraps, aromatherapy. Book a single treatment or a package after a day on the slopes. The Deep Tissue, Sports and Hot Stone Massage treatments are perfect for Apres Ski, and the spa offers a variety of specially selected natural and organic products that will delight your senses, nurture your skin and spirit. The spa is enhanced by indoor and outdoor whirlpools and a Swedish sauna.
For families with young ones, during peak periods, the Rustler Lodge provides a supervised children’s program (ages 5 and older) in the evenings, so that parents can enjoy dinner and relaxing after the day’s event. A special “kid friendly” dinner is served prior to the activities, which includes Arts and Crafts, Movies, Clowns, Piñata Parties, Music & Stories, and Magicians.

Absolutely fabulous service and ambiance. Delicious food and truly ski in ski out. Views from our room were incredible.
The Rustler Lodge the is pretty Special place. I'll start off with outdoor pool and Jacuzzi which I spent good hour each day after skiing. Then getting cocktail in the lounge and watching the sunset was pretty spectacularly. when it's time for Dinner you won't be disappointed the food is fantastic and they change the menu every night so there Always something new to try. I would also like to mention with all the Covid-19 stuff going around they do very good job making sure they do there part with the health check when you arrive to daily temperatures reading and making sure everyone has mask to were in public areas. I would highly recommend going Rustler if your looking for a place to stay in Alta!
High end for Alta, but decidedly casual with ski out/ lift in proximity to Alta. Nice spa, heated outdoor pool, hot tubs and sauna for working out the kinks after a day on the slopes. The food is good and the dinning room staff is attentive, but quietly so.
