The Langham Chicago is in the 52-story riverfront AMA Plaza designed by the renowned architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. This 5 Star Luxury Hotel is home to Chuan Spa, the Health Club, Fine Dining, Craft Bar, Afternoon Tea, Indoor Swimming. The hotel offers majestic views of the cityscape, Chicago River, and Lake Michigan. A select number of the luxury rooms and suites are pet-friendly and guests are also invited to use the Kid’s Suite to amuse and entertain young guest.
Chuan Spa Experiences include the Bathing Ritual. Located inside of each changing room you’ll find everything you need to reinvigorate your body’s reaction to hot and cold stimuli, which contributes to relaxation and wellness The ritual includes an Herbal Sauna, a Himalayan Salt Stone Sauna, an Aromatherapy Shower, and an Oriental Steam Room. Each element of the Bathing Ritual has a specific goal in mind, and you’ll want to book your services to allow plenty of time in advance for this ritual and more spa amenities. Enjoy heated relaxation loungers, the Hydro-Vitality Jacuzzi, and a 67 foot indoor swimming pool.
Services include skincare, body treatments (wraps and scrubs), massage therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine therapies (including acupuncture, cupping, more), scalp treatments, services for men, hand and foot therapies, manicures and pedicures, and curated packages. Book a solo service, or, opt for a membership for frequent visits.
Day Guests are welcome in the spa, and enjoy the use of all of facilities at Chuan Spa, including the Bathing Ritual rooms, heated relaxation loungers, Jacuzzi and swimming pool. Valet parking is available to all day spa users when booking a treatment. To assure the privacy, solitude and enjoyment of all guests, the age restriction is age 18 and above (16 if accompanied by an adult and booking services).
Don’t Miss: The Cinema Suite is a dedicate theater room in the hotel, featuring an 111-inch screen and comfortable seating for up to twelve people. This allows for a celebratory or family movie night, sophisticated presentation or an intimate gathering. The Cinema Suite is available on a complimentary basis for all hotel guests on a first come basis, and the authentic experience is elevated by a theater-inspired private dining menu, available upon request.

My boyfriend surprised me with this Chicago trip and overall it was one of the best weekends we have ever spent together! The location was perfect, the rooms were spectacular, the service was impeccable and even all the guests were friendly. The decorations for the holidays were very beautiful. You’ll have to get a picture in front of the Christmas tree on the 2nd floor. Being able to text reception for any of your needs was great. They were able to give us a list of brunch spots near by, call for our car, and answer any other questions we had. Amazing restaurant / bar within the hotel as well! The spa looked great, but was very pricey. The pool had pool side service but, maybe because it was the holidays, there were so many kids which wasn’t ideal. However, besides that, your expectations will be exceeded. A great stay for you and your partner! We definitely recommend staying here and wish we would’ve stayed longer!
We loved our stay at The Langham Chicago. Terrific location to everything, very walkable especially if you are going to do a boat tour or interested in the River Walk. The staff was exceptional from the moment you arrive, the bellmen & front desk were super welcoming. We can not say enough about the spa, sauna and hot tub, including the amazing staff there. The Langham lounge is terrific and all day service is wonderful, every staff member up there remembered our names and were excellent at their jobs. We will be back! Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
A truly 5-star, world-class experience. Extremely strong service from all staff. Warm welcome right at the door, then front desk, exiting the elevator and every other time we moved anywhere in the building. These folks take the time to remember you and make you feel welcome. Breakfast and bar food were exquisite with, yet again, impeccable service. This place is a real treat. Multiple visits from room attendants each day add a wow factor whenever you get back to your room. High-end fixtures in the room (smart lights, privacy glass, marble countertops, espresso maker) and impressive amenities (pool, spa, restaurants) can be found throughout the facility. And if you couldn't tell by the location, the rooms have incredible views. If you want to do Chicago right, stay here!
