Island Lake Lodge & Spa – Fernie BC

At Island Lake Lodge, accommodations are offered guests in 26 rooms in four beautiful lodges situated over 7,000 acres in the mountains above Fernie, BC.    The private rooms provide a digital detox by removing televisions and telephones (although the lodge does offer WiFi and cell phone coverage), and, when not touring the spectacular surroundings, guests relax and unwind in outdoor lounge areas, on the terraces, in the hot tubs, and in the day spa.

Mountain and Gourmet Dining

The Island Lake Lodge fuels guests with both mountain casual and gourmet wine and dine experiences.  The bistro offers casual offerings with mountain flare — hearty breakfast fare, pub snacks, beer and ale, burgers, and more. In the lodge dining room, enjoy chef-created meals from an open concept kitchen, with each meal expertly matched with selections from a 3,000 bottle wine library.   The French inspired Rocky Mountain Cuisine features both meats (including beef, pork, bison and more) and seafood, local produce and fruits, fresh made pasta, and house made desserts.

Fernie Day Spa

The Fernie Day Spa at Island Lake Lodge is the perfect treat after a day of outdoor adventures.  The spa operates throughout the seasons, with outdoor treatments available during the summer months.  The spa offers traditional healing and wellness rituals perfectly situated for the rugged terrain, including incorporating inspirations from the natural landscape.  Enjoy treatments in six treatment rooms, including a relaxation room, or head outdoors to the rustic outdoor lounge space with hot tub.  Choose from massage therapy, skin care, body care, manicures and pedicures, or combine them all in the perfect spa package.   Reservations are required to assure ideal service for every guest, so be sure to call and book ahead.

Island Lake Weddings

The Lodge is perfectly situated to offer truly idyllic surroundings for Winter Weddings and Summer Soirees.    Choose lake views or mountain vistas, and have 800 year old Cedars, Douglas Fir,  Spruce Trees, and Wild Life be the witnesses to your life event, and retreat to the lodge for toasting in front of the rock fireplace. The culinary team handles the entire event, from spectacular food to the perfect wine and champagne, cake, and even a morning-after breakfast for your guests.

Cat Skiing Tours

Seasonal Schedules

The Summer Season runs June 8 through October 8.    The Winter Season runs from December through April — depending on Mother Nature, of course.
