Mocha Almond Ice Milk

This ice milk, with only 4 ingredients, relies on a carton of chocolate almond milk to get started.  It is a popular flavor combination, and may be made in an ice cream maker or frozen into pops.

Mocha Almond Ice Milk

  • 1 (32-ounce) box fortified chocolate soy milk, chilled
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee or espresso powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons sugar, to taste
  • 1 cup slivered almonds, roasted
  1. Whisk together 1/2 cup soy milk, instant coffee or espresso powder in a large bowl, to dissolve powder completely. Whisk in remaining soy milk and sugar to taste.
  2. Let sugar dissolve, and then freeze according to ice cream machine’s instructions, adding almonds when mixture is nearly frozen.
  3. Or, divide mixture among waxed paper cups and cover each with plastic; poke a wooden craft stick through plastic and freeze to serve as pops.
Calorie counts will vary by the type of soy milk and sweeteners you use. The nutritional stats shown were provided by the Almond Board, however, we significantly cut the calories by using No Sugar Added Chocolate Soy Milk and Splenda.
