Beach Sand Scrub

The next time you decide to spend the day at the beach, take advantage of the “on location foot treatment” with Beach Sand Scrub. Brazilians, particularly, are known for scrubbing their entire bodies, particularly the feet, deep into the sand while they relax on the beach.  The recipe calls for Canola Oil, but you can use your favorite baby oil or massage oil.  In a pinch you can use suntan oil, but we don’t recommend it (for tanning or any other use)  — those products are often of poor quality and overly scented.

Interesting point of view. Wondering what you think of its implication on society as a whole though? Ill be around soon to check out your response.

We think this DIY Tip / Recipe’s implication on society as a whole cannot possibly be overstated. Thank you, Spam Comments are fun sometimes!

You can also use some Greek Yogurt. Plain is best with no sugar, so you don’t attract bugs on the beach. But, Greek Yogurt, thick and plain, as well as some sand or even some kind of exfoliant like coffee grounds, is good to scrub your feet and legs.

This was a actually quite a good tip. We also gather smooth river stones that have been heating in the sun all day and rub the soles of our feet with them while stretched out.

If you grow up on a European Beach you’ve done this and seen your Aunties do this since birth. But I have to remember that not every generation in every culture knows of this simple beach sand “treatment.”
