Guests and local residents alike flock to the spacious spa and salon to enjoy treatments and services, available every day of the week, in 10 spa treatment rooms, 2 couples suites, and 2 relaxation lounges. The amenities include water features, heat features, and complimentary refreshments. Plus, on Sundays through Thursdays, treatments are available at happy hour rates during select time periods. Choose from select treatments for the nails, skin, and body, including acupuncture, or select seasonal packages. The Girls Day Out package is a quarterly reward for a life otherwise in constant motion and stress. On this day, my sister and I always arrive early and use all the relaxation areas, including the sauna and steam, catching up with one another in our lounge beds while waiting for our appointments. Depending on the mood we get either an excellent massage or a great facial if our skin isn’t cooperating (choose either), followed by a mani – pedi (you can also choose a makeup session or a blow-out, too), and then enjoy a glass of bubbly waiting for our nails to dry. We leave looking great and feeling great after this more than 2-hour mini vacation.

Woodhouse Day Spa offers a full service menu to Denver Metro residents in a beautifully renovated, 3-story, 10-room Victorian mansion from 1886. The Woodhouse can accommodate up to 7 manicures and pedicures all at once, which contributes to its ideal location for spa parties, receptions and group events.
This Woodhouse location (I’ve been to several) is my favorite day spa in the Denver Metro area for a spa day or spa party. The services are always excellent, the staff is respectful and friendly, the ambiance is quiet and not austere, and even the clientele is just a wee bit more respectful. I’ve never had to give a sideways glance to a chatterbox, for instance. Everyone relaxes and sinks into this lovely place.
My favorite manicure experience from the 5 spas I visited. Although I only booked a manicure, I was greeted warmly, offered a complimentary cocktail or tea (I enjoyed the tea) and made to feel like the entire place was mine to enjoy. I was given a guided tour afterward and I’m eager to return for body services.

Readers and our Secret Spa Reviewers agreed Tallgrass Aveda Spa and Salon is among the Best of Denver Metro Area (just one hour from downtown Denver) for its menu selection of salon, spa and spa services and its beautiful setting, ideal for couples seeking an afternoon of relaxation.
I loved the amenities, spa lunch, and private steam shower set up for my use after services. The steam shower was private so no need for a wrap or suit, which I loved. This would have been a perfect full-day experience but the the relaxation area is also the lobby, and was busy on the day of my visit. That aside, this is a nice spa to visit when you want to take a beautiful drive, spend the afternoon with friends or loved ones, and leave with a beautiful manicure or pedicure or a couples massage experience.

Located in the heart of Denver, this spot is aptly described as a “hidden gem.” The setting includes deep shades of aubergine and rouge, and unique French details, furnishings and embellishments, making it a popular destination for spa parties. Guests enjoy this 19th century Parisian ambiance, but also custom-made alchemy blends and fragrances from the parfumerie; modern hair styles and colors, a full service menu of spa treatments, including skin care, seasonal facials including the HydraFacial, waxing services, manicures, pedicures, and more. The in-house herbalist serves up hand blended organic wellness teas infused with gem and flower elixirs you can enjoy a full spectrum of relaxation.
SpaIndex readers nominated and voted this spa salon as their favorite, and our 2 Spa Index Secret Spa Reviewers gave Phia Alchemy Salon and Spa the nod — one for the “Best Cut and Color” and one for ” Best Facial.” Both agreed “having the owner, Michelle, operate a custom parfumerie and alchemy bar is a unique service, perfect for self care as well as gifts, and a really nice addition to an already great menu of services. The in-house specialty infused teas are a delight.”
