Great adults-only resort located about 30 minutes south of the Cancun airport. My wife & I have been here 5 times. Yes, we like it that much. We joined as time share members at Azul Sensitori, but EDR is great for rest and relaxation. We always book a swim-up suite. The beach is not great - especially now after the past couple of storms. Service is amazing. Food is exactly what you would expect for the price you are paying here - quite excellent. We have not found many all-inclusive resorts at this price point with the same level of service and quality of food. Grounds are wonderful, and if you aren't getting something that you need - all you need to do is ask; they'll do their best to accommodate you.
Right now you can't get in the water because of the seaweed, smell and the color of the water. But the resort is beautiful, the staff is helpful and friendly, most of the restaurants are pretty good, and the ambiance is pretty cool
I've been to several resorts in Cancun before and this was definitely the most underwhelming one. I might have a high standards since I'm used to food in NYC but I was really surprised by how mediocre the food was. There's a variety of different cuisines and each restaurant looks really nice from the outside and inside, but when the food arrives, it's either flavorless, texture less or slightly cold. Food looks great until you take a bite out of it. If you're a foodie like me, I would not recommend this resort.
