Spa Index Kitchen Notes
We like the mint blended right in with the ice. Fresh, tart, little flecks of green. Delicious!Crystalline Fructose is produced from corn, but should never be confused with high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), which is highly processed with varying amounts of glucose and fructose. Fructose is the sweetest of all nutritive sweeteners, ranging from 1.2 to 1.75 times sweeter than table sugar -- so use sparingly. You can always add more, but you can't take it away, so add a bit at a time until you are used to its sweetness profile.Of the three sugars (sucrose, glucose and fructose), fructose has the sweetest taste but least impact on your blood sugar. The customary substitute is 2/3 cup of fructose crystals for every 1 cup of sugar called for, in a recipe.
