Teriyaki Steak is a sweet and savory recipe best made on an outdoor grill, but your broiler will do a bang up job as well. Serve with grilled veggies.
Ingredients
Marinade
½cupreduced-sodium soy sauce
6ouncesfrozen no-sugar added pineapple juice concentrateundiluted
2clovesgarlicpressed or minced
1tablespoonpeeled and grated fresh ginger root
Steak
1poundflank steakall visible fat removed
Instructions
Combine all the marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Place the flank steak in a flat dish and pour the marinade over it.
Cover tightly and refrigerate. Allow the steak to marinate for about 2 hours before cooking.
Prepare a grill or preheat a broiler. Broil the steak for about 3 minutes per side for rare, 5 minutes for medium, or longer depending on how well done you like your steak.
To serve, slice thinly across the grain.
