Amazingly beautiful, relaxing and highly recommended! After a “wild” year of everything, we needed a reset, a place for resetting and relaxing. The Lodge at Torrey Pines was perfect! Centrally located for some tourist adventures (Old town, the Zoo, Del Mar) as well as “doing nothing” except swimming and relaxing, or watching some golf. Add in a massage, and Home Run!! Loved our Vacation!
We've been doing weekend trips to the Lodge at Torrey Pines for YEARS! The lodge is an amazing display of California craftsman architecture! The exquisite details from all the gorgeous stained glass to the amazing wood work that covers the entire property, there's just so many great details around this property that I still notice new details. These details also extend to the decor in the spacious rooms, all with balconies which I love (the 1 bedroom suites have beautiful fireplaces as well).
The staff is first class from the valet, bell staff, receptionists & cleaning staff, they all help make your stay feel relaxing right from the start. With 2 PGA courses to play over a weekend (which the hotel will help you arrange, if this is important, like me, then it's best to plan the trip around their availability), a spa and gym for my wife, swimming pool for the afternoon, then dinner at AR Valentian (another 5 star review there too) and you'll know why we keep coming back every year.
Great facilities. Spa treatments and spa facilities are worth every penny to make you feel like a million bucks. Got a massage and facial, both were spot on. Highly recommend.
