What is Reflexology?

This ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique targets specific pressure points (usually on the feet, but also on the hands and ears) which are massaged in order to re-establish the flow of energy throughout the body. For many enthusiasts, it relieves stress and releases energy and pressure throughout the body.

Reflexology walking paths are common many Asian hotels, resorts, and gardens.  The Journal of American Geriatrics Society found that regular walking on cobblestones reduces blood pressure and improves balance. You can benefit from a reflexology walk in as little as 20 minutes.  In Singapore, the Botanical Gardens have installed a reflexology foot path (shown above) which  is designed to be relaxing and healthful as it massages your feet during your journey.  You may also see reflexology kiosks increasingly available in United States shopping malls.
