The Spa at Mohonk Mountain House is a
30,000-square-foot wing housing a
three-story facility linked to the Mountain House by
an enclosed walkway. The
full-service Spa at Mohonk Mountain House
features Signature Mohonk treatments, Solarium,
sauna, steam room, and outdoor heated mineral
pool, instruction
room for Pilates™, aerobics, yoga, qi gong,
and meditation, a state-of-the
art fitness center, fully equipped with cardio
and strength equipment, treadmills, ellipticals, and bicycles. an indoor
heated swimming pool, and more.
Environmental Stewardship
Mohonk Mountain House is the perfect place for rest,
renewal, and relaxation of body, mind, and
spirit. In Mohonk’s continuing commitment to be
“the same, only better,” the Spa's three-level
design features wood, local stone and cedar
shingles to complement the Mountain House’s
existing architectural character. Architects
designed the new wing with energy
efficiency in mind, allowing Mohonk to provide
wonderful new services for guests while
treading lightly on our spectacular natural
environment. The building is
environmentally friendly in its use of a
geothermal heating and cooling system, as well
as recycled and recyclable materials.
A “green” sod roof is used
on one section of the building, creating
natural insulation and blending into the
surroundings. Environmental considerations were key elements in designing the
treatment menu for the spa.

The
Catskill Mountains a natural
area in New York State northwest of New York City and southwest of Albany.
The Catskills are west of the Hudson River and lie within the bounds of six
counties (Otsego, Delaware, Sullivan, Schoharie, Greene, and Ulster). They are
sometimes considered an extension of the Appalachian Mountains into Upstate New
York, although they are not geologically related. During the nineteenth
century, the region became a destination for those seeking vacation retreats
