Every February, we exchange
candy, flowers, and gifts with our loved ones, all in the name of
St. Valentine. The history of Valentine's Day -- and its patron
saint -- is often debated, but what isn't in dispute is that
February has long been considered simply the "romance month." In
this issue, we'll share tips for finding and creating romance in

Apple
and Raspberry Crumble with Custard Sauce

What
more could you ask? This dessert is low fat, high fiber,
cholesterol free AND delicious

oz fresh or frozen raspberries
2 teaspoons cinnamon (reserve
one)
1 tablespoon dry egg custard mix
1 tablespoon sugar (or
try Splenda)
1 cup nonfat milk
3 tablespoons honey
1 can
apple pie filling (try "Lite")
1/2 cup granola
Preheat
oven to 350°F. Combine raspberries, apple pie filling and 1
teaspoon of the cinnamon together and spoon into a large gratin
dish.
In a small saucepan combine custard powder and sugar
with a little of the milk, to form a paste. Add remaining milk and
heat, stirring until thickened. Pour custard over fruit.
Combine remaining ingredients (honey, granola and reserved
cinnamon). Pour over custard and fruit. Bake for 45 minutes. Allow
to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
