This used to be a Bliss Spa over a year ago but now it's the Spa at the Washington, and honestly, that's an improvement. I used to think the Bliss spa was snooty and precious and I had more than one appointment cancelled at the last minute with no effort to reschedule, but if I were to do that, I'd pay for the service anyway! If they did it -- oh well, no harm no foul! Now, I've been back several times to Spa at Washington for massage and skin care when I'm in the district and they are far more organized and down to earth. I see a few familiar faces but I think the rebrand also had new faces and it's been an improvement overall.
I have been going for massages for over 30 years, due to a chronic neck condition. I found Noke (Phouangboupha Khambay) at the Hotel Washington spa. She did the most fantastic massage, with stretching that relieved ALL of my pain points!
The spa hotel in Washington was amazing. I booked a reservation for my birthday. I enjoyed every moment at the facility. When I arrived at the facility. I was greeted by the concierge. Everyone was friendly, provided me with a beverage, and directed me into the locker room where I changed into my robe to get my massage which was 10 out of 10.
