I love this Resort so much that we became fitness spa members. They have a walking track indoors and many classes available throughout the day . Their gym equipment is up to date and decent. They also offer spa treatments and hair appointments, which is so convenient to me . After working out and getting hungry it’s fun to pop into one of their eateries at the resort. My favorite place is Packers Kitchen. Great food and a wonderful sunset view .

Pros and Cons

Our stay at Semiahmoo was a bit of a mixed bag.

Pros: great location, amazing food and excellent service at both Packers and Great Blue Heron Grill (but we especially loved Packers!), bike rentals were fun, we really enjoyed the community bonfires and s'mores kits, the spa services were great, and the Uncorked wine dinner was amazing. The sous chef Kelly was very accommodating of my husband's food allergies and provided thoughtful and delicious substitutions.

Cons: our room was not ready when we arrived. We were given a drink voucher and waited in the bar for about half an hour. Upon arriving to our room, we found that there was no freezer in the mini fridge, even though I specifically asked about this as I have a medical condition that requires the use of ice packs and I was assured by Brianna that the in-room fridge had a freezer. I was offered access to a shared freezer on a different floor, but I didn't want to put my ice packs there for fear they would be mistakenly taken. The toilet didn't always flush properly and for most of our stay we didn't have any hot water, so we had to go to the spa for showers. The pool and hot tub were closed for repairs and that was one of the biggest reasons I chose this location, so that was very disappointing. Kayak rentals were not available - another thing we were looking forward to. Our sheets had a gross-looking stain on them.  I sent the hotel a photo. The fire alarm went off twice, both times it was a false alarm.

All in all, I expected better for what we paid and we will probably not visit again.
