Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge and Spa is a family operated resort, and has been since its doors opened to fishermen in 1898. Today, the award-winning Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge welcomes families, golfers, spa enthusiasts, conference attendees, and fishermen.
Lodging Plans
The exclusive Bay Lake Plan includes premium lodging, breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, unlimited golf with cart, beverages, counter food items at Auntie M’s, and all resort activities. Two night minimum. The Lodge offers 4 cabins which are pet friendly.
Salon and Spa
The Fine Line Salon & Spa at Ruttger’s is an Aveda Concept Salon and carries a full line of Aveda products. Located south of the Country Store on Ruttger’s main property, The Fine Line offers hair color, design, style, manicures, pedicures, facials, skin care, make-up consultations, several different types of massage and yoga. The Fine Line provides services for both individuals and groups, including complete wedding services for the bride to be and the wedding party. Bridal gifts, gift baskets, and gift certificates are available. Whether you are on a family vacation or need to book a larger group, relax and look great at the lake with The Fine Line Salon and Spa at Ruttger’s.
Kids Camp
Kids’ Kamp at Ruttger’s is a favorite for your young vacationers. Kids’ will enjoy outdoor activities such as swimming, boating, island excursions, fishing, outdoor games, and nature hikes. Indoor activities include games, stories, music fun, and crafts. Kids’ Kamp counselors are CPR trained and a certified lifeguard is on duty during water activities. Parents pick up and sign out their children from the program at the Kids’ Kamp cottage at the end of each day’s session. The program is flexible and daily schedules vary depending on the number and ages of children attending each day.’

Golf, Tennis, boating, biking, fishing, marina. Paul Bunyan Land and This Old Farm offer 35 rides and attractions including the world’s largest talking and animated man. Located only 12 miles from Ruttger’s.

Room was very outdated and not very clean. Spider webs in corners. What appeared to be mold on the bathroom grout. Carpet did not look vacuumed before we arrived. Hairs were in the bathroom shower -- which we hadn't used yet. The night was quiet and we slept decent, but the following morning an employee used a gas leaf blower right outside of where we were sleeping -- super early -- causing a major inconvenience to us trying relax. Who does that?! We were in a cabin with our vehicle right out front, it was obvious someone was staying there. We probably won't be back. For $160 a night, there are better options.

We visited during peak fall colors and the views from the golf course and the lake were simply spectacular. Loved golfing at Jack's 18, the course is beautiful. Very friendly staff, good service & nice rooms. We will be back!
A little on the older side. They're working on renovating and the people are very friendly.
