Originally built in 1942, The Post Hotel resonates with the spirit of its colourful founder, Sir Norman Watson – and the dedication of its current owners. Born in Switzerland, brothers André and George Schwarz were raised to appreciate good food, good wine and good company. For more than 35 years, their shared passion has been to welcome guests to this world-class Canadian Rocky Mountain resort. The Post Hotel & Spa is both the ideal accommodation for relaxation and the perfect starting point for most Canadian Rockies tours.

The hotel is home to the Temple Mountain Spa, a health, wellness, beauty and therapy center. The full-service spa menu was developed using a harmonious blend of products and techniques to serve the unique needs of the hotel’s guests. Services range from therapeutic to luxurious with a wide selection of massage therapies, body and facial therapies and beauty services. Therapies are complemented by a visit to the hotel’s Salt Water Pool. Take a plunge in the indoor, Roman inspired, saltwater pool; perfect for the whole family to enjoy. The whirlpool and steam room are ideal for melting away the muscle tension after an active day outdoors.

For fitness enthusiasts, visit the hotel’s own fitness center, or take to the outdoors for both winter and summer activities. Beautiful hiking abounds. Banff National Park offers some of the world’s most spectacular scenery, seen through more than 1,600 kilometres of defined trails, offering horseback riding, whitewater rafting, biking, and more. During the winter, enjoy the hotel’s complimentary ski shuttle to the Lake Louise Ski Resort only minutes away, and take on 4000 acres of unsurpassed ski terrain on four different mountain faces with the perfect mixture of open bowls and tree lined runs.

Food and Wine enthusiasts will be delighted with the offerings at the hotel. Since 2002, Wine Spectator, the authoritative wine magazine of North America, has awarded the Post Hotel its highest honour – The “Grand Award” — one of only four restaurants in Canada to achieve this recognition, which is regarded as the pinnacle of restaurant success worldwide.
