The Suites

Lizard Island Resort presents elegant, yet understated Great Barrier Reef accommodation in a variety of rooms and suites.  All our Great Barrier Reef resort hotel rooms offer serene luxury and a private location in which to enjoy your stay. 

The Pavilion Suite combines complete privacy with a spectacular 270-degree panorama of Anchor Bay, Osprey Island and Sunset Beach.   Anchor Bay Suites offer captivating sea views and each has a pathway leading directly to the beach.  Sunset Point Villas are set high on Sunset Ridge amongst native eucalyptus bushland.  Garden Suites offer separate living and sleeping areas as well as a private balcony. 

The Spa

Guides and planners are available to guests wanting to experience the natural surroundings of the Great Barrier Reef.  Complimentary activities for all guests include use of motorised dinghies, snorkelling equipment and lessons, glass bottom boat tours, tennis (day and night with all equipment supplied), picnic hampers for romantic and secluded beachside lunches, paddle ski tours, nature slide presentations, a gymnasium, and self-guided nature walks.

More adventurous guests make take part in a variety of add-on activities such as exploration of Anchor and Watson’s bay on a catamaran or glass bottom paddle ski, diving and snorkelling trips to the inner or outer Reef, diving courses, night diving, full or half day private game fishing (Black Marlin season is from September to December), Great Barrier Reef Azure Spa treatments, research station tours, Lizard Island dive and fishing charters on MV Fascination, Champagne sunset cruises,  and Sunset Beach Degustation.

Wining and Dining

Lizard Island Resort Guest Tariffs include gourmet meals, unlimited non alcoholic beverages, selected fine Australian and New Zealand Wines, beer, spirits and Champagne during meal periods at Osprey’s Restaurant and Bar, picnic hampers for the adventurous, use of non motorised water sports and motorised dinghies. UNESCO World Heritage Site

Lizard Island Resort is located on the shores of the Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.  A World Heritage Site is a destination or place deemed a “special cultural or physical significance” as established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).   “The Great Barrier Reef is a site of remarkable variety and beauty on the north-east coast of Australia.
