Pros: Such a beautiful location. 30 min walk to downtown Hilo or rent a bike across the street. Nice massage business on first floor.
Cons: Hotel itself is pretty run-down. Acceptable in a pinch, but not a first-choice destination hotel in Hilo.
This is definitely a hotel, not a resort. The rooms that have ocean views you can clearly see that water. They have two restaurants, one of which does takeout (not room service). This hotel is in the heart of Hilo, and is a short walk away from most things. A pretty good hotel with fair prices.
