Spa and Fitness

Spa Adagio is a full service day spa located on site in our historic Charleston hotel.  The spa blend friendly smiles, soothing aromas and relaxing sounds with an educated and experienced staff to guarantee you will leave feeling rejuvenated and renewed.  Services include Massage Therapy, Skin Care,  Body Treatments, Nail Care, and Hair Removal.

The fitness center is open for all guests and is outfitted with Precor equipment (trainers, treadmills, ellipticals, weight benches), body balls, recumbant bikes.  Watch two LCD televisions during your workout on site, or, request a day pass to the nearby MUSC Wellness Center (2 miles).


Guests enjoy classic Southern cuisine at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at The Swamp Fox Restaurant and Bar, named for Revolutionary War hero, General Francis Marion.  The menu features regional specialties and farm to table ingredients from locally grown fruits and vegetables, and was the winner of Open Table Diners’ Choice for 2014.

Weddings and Special Events

Since it originally opened its doors over 85 years ago, the Francis Marion Hotel has been the setting for elegant Charleston weddings and high society social events.  The tradition of elegance and grandeur continue in the hotel’s elegant ballrooms, featuring antique chandeliers, 20-foot high ceilings, harbor view windows, marble accented fireplaces, and romantic history in every detail.
