At Botanika Skin and Body, we specialize in beauty without the chemicals offering all-natural and organic spa services and beauty products. Our treatments are given using the best organic skin care products on the market from Éminence Organic Skin Care. We also have a fully stocked natural beauty boutique offering a full range of skin care products, mineral cosmetics, non-toxic nail polish and other body and eco-friendly goods.
Botanika’s owner, Koali Pontual-Thorne, is a licensed esthetician and manicurist specializing in natural beauty. She grew up in the spa business with a massage therapist mom and chose to go into the business herself after earning her “serious” degree in communication and psychology since it was in the beauty world that she felt she could be of greatest service to women looking for beauty and relaxation without the chemicals involved in traditional beauty services. She began her training in the “spa world” of Palm Springs, California and went on to study in Budapest, Hungary where the tradition of skin care and herbalism run deep. She also took an interest in internal health since “beautiful skin begins within” and was certified as a raw food chef so that she could offer her clients a holistic approach to skin care, addressing both internal and external issues. She has been known to prescribe a juice cleanse or raw desserts along with a skin care regimen for the most glowing skin. Her work is her passion and her mission.

I've been going to Botanika since Koali (the amazing owner) moved to town ~10+ years ago. She transformed our town and taught so many of us how important it is to care for ourselves. Also, she emphasizes the power of natural beauty and gratitude. I've had facials and Indian head massages and massages here. You won't find a more diligent and thoughtful provider and you'll thank your lucky stars if you can get treated here.
This place is a gift for Sitka residents. I eat organic and this is the only option for me to have someone else prepare healthy foods. Very kind lady, beautiful spirit . The massage was great too I received. I wish she would make two stores in town. I haven't been there in a year but I still think about it. I need to book a massage. Can't wait to return.
