Ginger Elixir Ayurvedic Cocktail

Ginger is an ancient Asian remedy for digestive problems and can ease an upset stomach.  At La Costa Resort and Spa in California, their Ginger Elixir, a non-alcoholic “ayurvedic cocktail” from the Legends Bistro and the Spa Café, is best served before a meal.

This elixir is quite tart. Adjust to your own taste but do try to avoid too much sweetener.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ginger juice
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup honey

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients in a blender - or -
  • Add all ingredients to a shaker cup of ice and shake
  • Serve immediately
