Immerse Spa offers an adults-only Spa Experience in an upscale, 20,000-square-foot facility featuring a fitness zone, dedicated relaxation areas, private men’s and women’s Jacuzzi, Steam and Saunas, changing rooms and showers, and an infinity edge indoor pool. The spa is kid-free, smoke-free and cell-phone free, with complimentary valet parking on arrival, so the environment is perfect for a restful experience. Choose from a treatment menu of remineralizing seawater and marine extracts, botanicals, and customized aromatherapy-based treatments and rituals. Services include face, body and nails, treatment packages, restorative baths and massages, for men, women, and couples. Spa Parties for groups of 5 or more are available as well.
My mother, sister and I visited three hotel spas in the Detroit Metro area in 2019 and of the three, we overall had the best experience at Immerse Spa. We each classify this as an “experience spa” — where you are going to share an experience, be treated to a calm and quiet atmosphere (no children, no cell phones in use), enjoy amenities and a fun or relaxing treatment, and enjoy a lengthy visit. Immerse Spa is perfect for that. We collectively had a manicure pedicure and massages. We agreed that we may stick to more health oriented massage therapists for anything more aggressive than relaxation massage, and visit Immerse more for the overall spa experience and less for symptoms like pain-relief or sports injuries. Our relaxation massage and mani pedi spa day, and all-day soak in the pool with a good magazine in the relaxation chairs, was a perfect spa hotel day. This location is in the heart of downtown Detroit in the Campus Martious area, and boasts an extensive menu of services from signature facials, to body treatments to massage, nail care, and more.
Guests enjoy the top notch and amenities that come with any service at Woodhouse, including tea, wine, Mimosas, water, and more, along with comfortable robes and slippers and well outfitted changing areas and lounges. Massage tables are pre-warmed for your comfort and have fresh, quality linens for every guest. Spa Parties are available, as are packages for couples.
I had an incredible spa day, here. It’s really easy to forget you’re still in downtown Detroit, because this is a little oasis of calm. I’ve been to many Woodhouse Locations and the exemplary service is beautifully carried out here, more so than other day spas in this area.
I had the Volcanic Stone Massage. I’m usually a bit of a skeptic about hot stone therapies. I get them because I don’t like a lot of finger digging, and it’s warm and nice but seldom impressive. I had some shoulder and neck pain, however, from a volleyball game and after this experience, the warmed and smoothed stones were gliding over my problem areas, giving me deep warmth and pain relief unlike others I’ve had. It’s all about the expert placement and knowing how best to use them, and my therapist truly did.

Services are available men, women, couples and spa party groups.
I had a perfect spa morning, here. Everything about this cozy spa is an oasis of calm. From the soothing colors, the driftwood polished floor, the scents, the hushed tones (no yakking anywhere here!). I had a wonderful massage from Maria which was my best of the year, and, a really interesting facial focusing on TCM techniques for skin scraping. On my return visit I loved a very affordable service — the Plump Up — which the cosmetic artist wakes up, plumps up, exfoliates, and smooths your skin to create a palette for any makeup application. This included a cleanser, skin stimulation, massage, and more — making me camera ready in no time. I’m a fan, and will put this spa in my regular rotation. Worth the drive, for sure. Our readers tipped us to Cosi Nail Spa as “one of the cleanest and best nail spas you’ll ever visit.” Cosi Bella Nail Spa specializes in manicures and pedicures with the latest and best equipment, practices and training, and customers enjoy the specialty ventilation system which keeps fumes under control. The spa also offers skin care, waxing and massage, and even a shampoo and blow dry bar, to make sure you leave feeling and looking great.
Kim, the owner, gave us our best manicures and pedicures of the season. The salon spa itself is beautiful, clean, and inviting, and we walked out with beautiful hands and feet.

Thankfulness to my father who read your Best Detroit Spas list and bought me a spa day and a night at MGM Grand to cheer us when we lost my mother. We actually went together and he enjoyed himself, believe it or not. First time spa-goer at age 70! We couldn’t use the Jacuzzi or sauna because of Covid but he enjoyed a massage and I enjoyed a mani pedi! We liked the indoor pool and he used the gym. It was a nice distraction for us. Thanks to your site he got a nice idea!
