The Bathery Electrolysis & Skincare, Kirkland, WA
I have had the best service at The Bathery. The ambience is perfect-the room is set in a quiet location, clean and decorated beautifully with candles and luxurious drapery for a soothing touch. Soft music plays, which adds additional relaxation. My appointments are always on time, and the owner, Cassandra Lanning, is courteous, friendly and very
easy to get along with. Her efficient electrolysis service has worked wonders for me and her products are well worth the purchase. Everyone deserves to try this place out! -- Rebecca M., 2010

Stormking Spa & Cabins,
Ashford (Mt. Ranier), WA We were there for 3 days, it was
fantastic!! the cabin was very clean and accommodating, our spa treatments
(4 total) were excellent, the rooms were clean and smelled wonderfully the
beds were heated and there was no rush. Courtesy was out of this world. We
have already made plans to return. I would recommend this spa to everyone
that just needs to get away from it all, Once you arrive, you forget about
the outside world.....Last words....Ahhhhhh -- Yolanda T., 2008

Stormking Spa & Cabins,
Ashford (Mt. Ranier), WA Amazing! My husband was home for mid-tour
leave from Iraq and all we wanted was a day away from "everything" and
Storm King delivered. The half hour hot tub soak was so private and
relaxing - the sound of the rushing creek nearby helped to bring us closer
to nature and into deeper relaxation. The massage was the best I have ever
received - I felt so happy to peek over and see my husband at peace.
The warming environment and simplicity of the cabin made it so easy for us
to re-connect and completely forget about all the craziness of the
deployment. One of the best parts was the visit we had with the deer while
enjoying our morning coffee. There were several little details that made
the trip extra special. It was neat to page thru the journal where
previous guest shared a bit about their stay. An excellent sound system
with peaceful CD's to listen to made the cabin even more mystical. Being
able to gaze up to the skylight at midnight and see the beautiful array of
stars was breathtaking. The location of Storm King also makes it a sure
winner. Just the drive alone offered lots of conversation points, the
surrounding landscape and trees are amazing, and there are several little
antique shops and cafe's to enjoy. I didn't want to leave! Three words to
sum up our stay: Peaceful, Mystical, and Romantic! -- Heidi S., 2007

Stormking Spa & Cabins,
Ashford (Mt. Ranier), WA IT WAS HEAVENLY! Myself, daughter and
daughter-in-law planned this get-a-away weekend months ago to celebrate
daughter's birthday & other special occasions. It was our first
experience with a facial body massage. We shad no idea what we had
been missing. Storm King Spa Cabins was beautiful, owners treated
us as if we had been long lost friends, cabin was unbelievably
beautiful, peaceful, birds sang just for us, little critters and deer
and fawn made surroundings even more beautiful, beauty of creek and its
sounds are indescribable. Must see to understand, and of course best of
all were the magical hands of our masseuse (bless her hands!) she made
our first experience the best ever. We are already planning future
trips there, so if you haven't been there ... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

Stormking Spa & Cabins,
Ashford (Mt. Ranier), WA When my husband and I decided to get away from it all in Ashford, the
first place we called was Stormking. They didn't have a cabin for us, but
we did book a spa appointment. We chose the Lover's Retreat.
Our appointment began with Deborah, the owner, and a deer (yes, a real deer)
greeting us at the door (the deer was outside, however). Deborah led us upstairs
to a large private room with a bathroom. We changed into the biggest fluffiest
robes I've seen at any spa, grabbed towels (again-- so soft and fluffy!) and
then Deborah led us outside to the sauna. The sauna was beautifully situated
next to a wonderful creek and across from a heavily wooded area. We disrobed
and entered the warmth of the steamy sauna. We could hear the creek outside,
which added to our relaxation.
When we got back inside (after half an hour in the sauna), we met Becky and
Raina, who would be providing our spa services. We started with a salt glow
polish for me and a Morroccan mud wrap for him. It was wonderful. Following
the wrap and the polish, we each had a divine 1-hour massage. It was absolutely
the best! Becky and Raina were attentive and thorough. My husband and I were
completely relaxed. We were sad for the session to end; we felt so rejuvenated
and refreshed!
Deborah, Becky and Raina were awesome. The facilities were gorgeous and smelled
so good. The location was fabulous. I really cannot rave enough about Stormking.
We came back from our weekend away, and we told all our friends about Stormking;
one friend has already booked an appointment for next week! We plan to be
back again, soon! -- Shannon K., May 2005

Stormking Spa & Cabins,
Ashford (Mt. Ranier), WA We Loved it!! Absolutely delightful experience! Muscle tension that had
been so painful for months was gone at the end of the 1 hour aromatherapy
massage. Rejuvenating, deeply relaxing, we felt cared for and healed. The
spa was clean, warm and the massage therapists were experts, professional
and kind. We also stayed at Storm King's Raven cabin for the weekend, nestled
in the forest with a private hot tub and sweeping forest views. Loved it!!

Stormking Spa & Cabins,
Ashford (Mt. Ranier), WA Deborah and Steve are perfect hosts! My husband and I spent our anniversary
in the Eagle cabin. It was the perfect getaway. Our hosts had thought of every
detail imaginable. We were so impressed with their thoughtfulness and hospitality.
We had never been to a spa before or had any treatments. Our experiences with
Deborah were amazing. The rooms were gorgeous and well-scented. The treatments
were delightful and everything was done in such a way as to put our comfort
first! If you are looking for a place to be treated like royalty, without
losing the comforts of home, this is it! -- Laurie B., May 2004

Stormking Spa & Cabins,
Ashford (Mt. Ranier), WA My girlfriend and I went to the Stormking for our two year anniversary and
stayed in the Bear cabin. It was romantic, private, cozy, and clean. After
staying the first night in our cabin, we went to the Stormking Spa. I had
Ilee and my girlfriend had Deborah (the owner) for a foot soak/massage, full
body massage, and a facial. Both spa rooms were very clean and tranquil and
it felt like you wanted to stay there all day. Deborah was the only one available
on Sunday but we both wanted services done so she called in Ilee on her day
off just to accommodate us! We are definitely coming back for another romantic
weekend and the Stormking Spa and Cabins. -- Kayak and Corina, March

Le Salon Paul Morey, Seattle, WA. This is the best spa I have been to in the Seattle area. I have been there
twice now. The massages both times were excellent and very professional.
All of the staff I have experienced have been friendly and do a great job.
I had a sampler the first time where I experienced an entrance foot bath,
great whirlpool tub, excellent massage and wonderful facial. I would
definitely recommend this spa!" -- Jennifer S.
Ummelina Spa, Seattle, WA. As a surprise, my husband, who had never been to a spa, chose Ummelina Spa
because they had a "couples package." The first part of the package
exceeded my expectations -- we entered a dark, private room with a wonderfully
deep whirlpool spa with a candle lit beside it. It had a loofah scrub brush,
plus all kinds of soaps and bath salts. At the end of the room was a shower
with jets at all levels. In the package, we had the room for an hour. It was
great!
We then split up to our separate massages. This
is where we were both disappointed and uncomfortable. The massages themselves
were above average, but my massage therapist told me at the end she wanted
to bless me and asked me if I wanted it "silent" or not. Well, I decided I
wanted to hear what she was "blessing" so I asked for it out loud.
She blessed all of my body parts from my head
to my toes, in different intervals. My husband, meanwhile, reported also feeling
uncomfortable with questions he is being asked by his massage therapist --
how he felt inside, etc. Because we felt imposed upon, and that both therapists
were unprofessional, we have decided not to return. This is a shame because
the spa package was such a great idea. -- 2000
