Green Mountain at Fox Run, Ludlow, Vermont
The 4 weeks I spent at Green Mountain changed my life. Not only did I learn what I was doing wrong in regards to my eating habits I discovered parts of myself I never even knew existed. The staff was wonderful! and supportive. They do all they can to make sure you have what you need, not only when you are there, but after you leave. The facilities were very clean and the atmosphere very inviting and comfortable. The classes were very informative, and the exercise portion of the program is very realistic. I was able to take everything I learned home with me. I made friends for life and I've been able to continue the success that I started there. I highly recommend GM to anyone who wants to feel better about themselves. If you are ready for change, this is the place for you!! Since I left I have been sleeping better, eating better and have a feeling of wellness that I haven't had since I was in college. It was and continues to be a wonderful experience. -- Kim L., 2008

Green Mountain at Fox Run, Ludlow, Vermont
I've been going to Green Mountain at Fox Run in Ludlow, Vermont, since the mid 1980s. My last visit was in November 04 and I plan on going back again this year. I always feel so welcome by the staff, but what I like even better is how good I feel going home. Green Mountain is not a luxury spa. It is a health spa for women. You get wonderful, tasty, healthy food (1500 calories) and great exercise, including everything from yoga and dance to weight training and aerobics. In between the good food and the exercise, you take classes on nutrition, exercise, and the mental components of health. What you learn in class is supplemented by what you learn from the other participants in the program. I always go by myself, so it is important to me that the other women participants are fun and interesting. Recently they started having a diabetic program in conjunction with the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. It is given in May and November. This is really an extra bonus for me because I am a diabetic. I've gone to two of these special weeks and I plan on going again. But they have all sorts of programs that you can check out on their website. If you're looking for a spa that just pampers you with beauty treatments, Green Mountain is not right for you. But, if you're trying to work out health issues, such as obesity, diabetes, or illness, you should consider my favorite spa, Green Mountain at Fox Run.  -- Judy W., June 2005

I found Green Mountain at Fox Run to be an unforgettable experience in a supportive, comfortable, clean, and courteous women-only environment. Its integrated program addresses all issues surrounding weight loss and life balance for the long-term. Not only do you take home what you've learned, but the staff continues online support. GM maintains a professional, empathic staff who also know how to have fun. You are not pampered, you are educated and learn to understand yourself. I went after a year of chemo to get a kick start on the road to recovery. It was a different and life-changing experience for me as well as for other guests, young and old, with their own issues.
