Kennebunk, ME (January 20, 2004) -- The Spa at River's Edge, a luxurious
day spa that opened last June overlooking the Kennebunk River, is offering
romantics the ultimate sybaritic escape. As the Ultimate Valentine package
is available to just one couple on Sunday, February 15th (a day the Spa is
usually not open), this may be the perfect place for a never-to-be-forgotten
proposal. And since love is about sharing, the Ultimate Valentine couple
will be warmed by the knowledge that they allow the Spa to make a $500
donation to "Project Fuel."
The romance starts when a dozen
long-stemmed red roses arrive at the intended's home on Valentine's Day,
along with two sumptuous Spa robes, his and hers pairs of Spa
slippers and a card detailing the Spa services that will be the exclusive
domain of the Ultimate Valentine couple, the next day.
The Spa at River's Edge will be devoted
entirely to the romantic couple for the day, Sunday, February 15th, from
10:30 am to 3 pm. A limousine* will transport the Ultimate Valentine
couple to the Spa and its serene riverside setting in Kennebunk, serving
chilled champagne along the way. At the Spa, the couple will be greeted
with a scattering of rose petals to enhance the tranquil copper and
mahogany surroundings, and escorted to the fireside lounge and its dramatic
view of the river and surrounding countryside. Throughout the day, they
will enjoy a crackling fire, and refreshments of chilled champagne, caviar,
handmade chocolates and fresh strawberries and cream in the Lounge. At the
couple's whim, the professional Spa staff will provide:
90-minute couples' massage and massage
instruction
50-minute side-by-side champagne pedicures
40-minute his-and-hers chocolate body
polishes
50-minute rose facial, makeup application
and hair-styling for her
50-minute fresh cream manicure for him
Spa Director Mukta Hoffman notes that she is happy to discuss special
requests -- such as the surprise placement of an engagement ring -- when
the package is booked. The cost of the complete Ultimate Valentine package
for that singular couple is $2000 with tax and gratuity. Included in the
package price is a $500 donation to Ingraham's "Project Fuel" -- a 'last
resort' fuel provider for low-income families and the elderly on
fixed incomes.
