Camp Biche

Camp Biche is a week-long house party where you get fit, lose weight, eat delicious vegan food, drink wine, and have fun.   Camp Biche is designed to help you lose inches in the most pleasant way possible and to fine-tune your eating and exercising habits so that when you return home, you’ll effortlessly incorporate movement and healthy eating into your daily routine.

Each day starts with an intensive abs reduction class before you embark on a fat-burning three to four hour hike through the gorgeous French countryside, accompanied by cheery, bi-lingual English and French guides.   In addition, there are two hours a day of either, Yoga, Pilates, circuit training, or Zumba. Class offerings depend upon the instructor.  

During the signature seven-night, six-day Kickstart program, most clients lose around 8% of their total body fat and multiple inches from their waistlines. Everyone markedly improves their fitness levels and stamina.

This year, by popular demand Camp Biche is including gourmet vegan cooking classes each afternoon so that you’ll be able to recreate the Camp Biche magic at home.     

Our program is for seven-nights -- Saturday to Saturday. There is a discount for couples sharing a bed.  Prices include airport/train transfers, tips, taxes, meals, guides, instructors and massages.  You’ll eat three, delicious plant-based meals a day.   You’ll enjoy wine with all your dinners.  You'll get six hour-long massages.

The BROADMOOR

The BROADMOOR’s Apprenticeship program is highly structured, consisting of over 6,000 hours of hands-on training and 575 hours of classroom instruction. Students are rotated throughout various kitchens so they may study the classical foundations of modern cuisine. Participating students enjoy and learn from a broad scope of courses designed to prepare individuals for the challenges of the food service industry, while getting paid for each hour worked. This program runs six consecutive semesters over three years. Students attend classes one evening each week for five hours and receive six general education credits. All students are registered as junior members with the American Culinary Federation.

Graduates of the program will receive their Certified Cook title and are eligible to earn an Associates of Applied Science Degree. The US Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship, will issue a nationally recognized completion certificate for Journeyman Cook.

A native of Colorado, Executive Chef Dennis Morrisroe earned his degree in the culinary arts from the San Francisco Culinary Academy. During his two-year stint at the Academy, he ultimately met world-famous Chef Thomas Keller. Keller invited Dennis to put his new skills to the test at the French Laundry, considered one of the best restaurants in the world. Dennis worked primarily on proteins, and while he learned much about the world of haute-cuisine, he returned home to the mountains as Executive Chef for Seasons restaurant in Durango, and eventually joined our team at Dunton, bringing with him food, song, humor, and passion to our Hot Springs.
