Vida Real Spa
offers a comprehensive menu of water based
treatments and more, including thalassotherapy
in a sea water pool, water aerobics, breath
therapy; a complete menu of massage,
including holistic, lymphatic drainage, Mayan
(with warm herbs and essential oils), Lomi Lomi,
hot stone, Reiki, and luxury VIP suites for
couples; Facial and Body Phototherapy; skincare
and body wraps; hydrotherapy baths, including
salt water, flower petal, and Turkish baths with
steam and sauna; spiritual exercises including
Yoga, Meditation, and Tai Chi; and a complete
menu of hair, nail and beauty services.
The spectacular
building housing the spa is a destination unto
itself. The $7 million dollar four level
spa has been modeled after a Mayan pyramid, and
offers on the ground floor, a Mayan theme, with
a 50 foot waterfall plunging to a natural pool,
thalasso therapy rooms, and a 50 foot rock
climbing wall, and an outdoor Zen garden, where
Yoga and Tai Chi are practiced. On the
first floor, reception, men's and women's humid
areas (steam) and the gym are presented in a
Roman theme, with wall murals modeled on Pompeii
and jetted baths to resemble roman baths.
On the second floor, terraces, Swiss showers,
Turkish baths, VIP suites, the beauty salon,
swimming pool, and cafe lounge are presented
with an Asian theme.

Playacar Golf Club, designed by
architect Robert Von Hagge, opened in
September 1994. This magnificent golf
course de par 7202 yards of longitude is set
in the Mayan jungle, surrounded by several

minutes away from the crystalline waters of
