THE DESTINATION
Within the sweeping panorama of the north Georgia foothills, just 40 minutes north of Atlanta, Georgia (USA) but a world away from the bustling city
is Château Élan. Here on 3,500 acres, French provincial and Southern hospitality combine to produce a superb leisure resort and conference
destination. Château Élan is the national flagship property of Château Élan Hotels, a branded group of luxury properties in the United
States and internationally. |
|
THE WINERY

Margaret Mitchell wrote that the blood red furrows of the North Georgia foothills made the best
cotton land in the world. But it has proven to be something more - fertile land for growing grapes. And Georgia, a state with its own heritage of
graciousness, has proven to be the perfect setting for the South's premier winery, Château Élan.
Opened in 1984, the 16th century French-style chateau surrounded by 200 acres of lush vineyards
offers you a taste of the French-countryside. Our winery hosts tasting, a wine market, custom wine labels, a variety of public events
throughout the year including Vineyard Fest, the Lighting of the Château - which kicks off the holiday season Friday after Thanksgiving - and our
annual summer concert series, Swinging on the Grapevine. |

SPA INDEX READER REVIEW
"This year, I decided that the holiday season was absolutely NOT going to be a stress-fest for me.
So, immediately prior to Thanksgiving in November 2002, I signed up for a four-day, three-night stay at the Chateau Elan in Georgia.
The special included in excess of a dozen spa services over the period, accommodations, meals,
taxes and gratuities. This was my first time at a "stay" spa. What a wonderful experience!
The staff was friendly and unruffled by special requests, the rooms were spacious and beautiful,
the food was tasty and pleasing to the eye. I had access to the full facilities at the spa, and participated in stretching and yoga classes,
had a comprehensive fitness evaluation, and enjoyed relaxing in the whirlpool that overlooked the grounds, which included a pond.
I loved the waiting area for spa services (the staff was very prompt with the appointments) which
included a "quiet room" featuring some VERY comfortable chaises, soft music, and a view of the woods.
The facility offered shuttle service to the adjoining inn and winery, which I used sparingly since
I enjoyed walking (I was lucky, the weather was great!) on the grounds, which include a nice nature trail. There was also a daily
complementary shuttle to shopping areas, but I didn't want to leave the grounds myself.
All in all, I was VERY pleased and will return whenever time and budget permits. There's
nothing better than sleeping late, eating breakfast in a comfy spa robe, and getting pampered all day!" -- Laura Y., Jan. 2003
