FARMHOUSE SPA |

 There is no better way to relax
while aligning your mind, body and soul than by
experiencing Blackberry Farm's famous
Aveda Concept Farmhouse Spa.
If the walls of its 1800's
farmhouse could talk, they would surely tell a
much different story today than they did when
the Farmhouse was home to Melinda Webb and her
seventeen children more than a century ago. The
original floors have been beautifully restored
and the rooms once used as bedrooms now house
massage tables, handcrafted cabinets with
warming drawers and Aveda spa products.
Blackberry recently renovated the spa to
offer a new selection of services, including
hydrotherapy in a state-of-the-art wet
treatment room with Vichy Shower. The new
room provides guests the ultimate in pampering
with a heated tile floor, Scots hose and
seven-headed Vichy Shower, offering luxurious
water treatments that are detoxifying,
hydrating and intensely relaxing – both
spiritually and physically.
Service
menu includes: Signature body treatments
(wraps, scrubs, and exfoliating treatments);
Customized Aveda Facials; Massage; Manicures;
Pedicures; Hydrotherapy, including Vichy
Showers; In-room treatments available, with

Farm experience with your children during
select holidays and Family Months in July and
December, when Blackberry Farm opens its
doors to children of all ages.
Camp
Blackberry is available for children ages
three to 12, and this unique program is offered
daily on specific dates. All year, children 10
and older are welcomed guests at Blackberry
Farm.
At special times throughout the
year, Camp Blackberry provides fun-filled,
fully supervised activities for your children.
Blackberry also provides "Dinner and a Movie"
programs for children, so parents can enjoy an
evening of romance and culinary delight in our

events, when the most celebrated chefs and
vintners from around the world collaborate at
Blackberry Farm to expand your culinary

When you
participate in a Blackberry culinary event, you
will observe as famous chefs prepare signature
dishes and share the recipes and secrets that
come from years of experience.
At dinner,
you'll celebrate and indulge in the culinary
magic of Chef John Fleer's renowned Foothills
Cuisine® combined with the top dishes of our
visiting chefs. With each course and throughout
the event, you will be treated to rare wine
selections from our guest vintner's private
cellar. Best of all, you will return home to
impress your friends and family by preparing
some of the same dishes that you experienced in
Blackberry's culinary wonderland.
 Foothills Cuisine® is
the creation of Chef Fleer; it wanders
the line between refined and rugged, borrowing
from both haute cuisine and the country food
indigenous to Blackberry Farm's setting.
Menus are created based on the bounty of the
season and the on-site heirloom garden.
Representative menu items include Cornmeal
Pudding with Maple Cream Cheese, or Blueberry
Cottage Cheese Griddlecakes with Pecan Butter
and Spiced Maple Syrup for breakfast; Sweet-Tea
Brined Fried Chicken and Sesame Cheddar
Biscuits for lunch; Dry-Aged Summerfield Farm
Rib-Eye, Roasted Eggplant Jus, with Yellow
Branch Squash Casserole and Potato Galette for
dinner; and, Warm Pineapple Rice Pudding with
Rich Caramel Ice Cream for dessert. The
Spa Cuisine tasting menu is three
courses, and includes North Carolina Trout on
an Artichoke and Fingerling-Potato Hash with
Smoked Celery Sauce to start, and Warm
Blueberry Clafouti with Sorghum "Ice Cream"
to finish. |
